Living in Color

October 8, 2009

Before the snow storm surprised us in the Eastern Sierra the weather was cool crisp and gentle warm perfect for exploration and play during our location scout. My sister, Niña, who came up to assist me on a wedding modeled for me when I asked her to stand in for the light test. She is no stranger in front of the camera and is one of my favorite individuals to photograph. We rolled in the grass, gazed at the mountains, and captured what beauty we could at Twin Lakes. I call this post “Living in Color” because when we’re confronted with something so beautiful like the scenery we were surrounded with you can’t help but be grateful and welcomed to live in vivid, enjoyable color.

Our playground for the next hour.

Lovely Niña.

She can give a purple scarf cool purpose.

Bringing out a subdued yellow hue.

By the way it’s in the mid-50’s and windy!

On the tiny pier where you can take a kayak out.

Rock that scarf!

Another favorite thing I do is to bring out cooler tones.

Didn’t quite get what I wanted here, but it makes me smile even more.

A shot for our family. We’re angels, Mom and Dad. 🙂
