Stop and Smell the Cows

November 4, 2009

You read right, but I don’t mean it literally. What I do intend to get across is to breathe in the scenic views around you, and if there’s nothing pretty nearby try to breathe in things that you are thankful for.

Recently, I’ve put on a lot of miles on my car, driving north and south and east and way to the west. On one of my drives a road sign invited me to stop and view the wildlife up ahead, so I decided that I should because…well, I could.

It’s apparent the holidays are upon us and, like many, I admit that it’s my favorite time of year–the giving and loving spirit is one that I want all year. I can do without the lights and holiday songs and shopping decor and *ahem* the “giving because you should” spirit. You should do it because you can…and because life is inviting you to.

Gotta love the fisheye on a full-frame camera.

Road trips are da best! Not just “the” best. 🙂

Wow! These are beautiful Jen May. Looks like the clouds are laying right on top of the mountains.
